IDENTIFICATION

Identification by microchip of our pets has been mandatory in Catalonia since 1998. At the Naturcan veterinary center we can check the reading of your pet's microchip, implant a microchip if it does not have one, register it in the AIAC or ANICOM database (we will explain all the differences during the consultation) and we can even proceed to make data changes if you have changed your telephone number or address.


DOGS CONSIDERED POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS (GPP)

At the Naturcan veterinary center we can inform you of all the procedures to follow in order to obtain the License for the possession of potentially dangerous dogs or PPP.  


VETERINARY ASSISTANCE

As owners of animals we have a legal and moral obligation to ensure their well-being, so it is essential to offer them good nutrition, regular exercise, keep them in good hygienic and sanitary conditions, control their health and offer them veterinary assistance if they need it.


Before deciding to have a pet, you should answer these questions:

  • How much time can I dedicate to it?
  • Do I have enough space at home?
  • Does the whole family agree
    • ?
  • If he gets sick, can I dedicate time to him?
  • Where and how will he spend his holidays?
  • Can I cover all the expenses involved in having a pet?
  • Will I make sure that there is a good coexistence?
  • Am I aware of the municipal ordinance on animal ownership?
  • Do I assume any legal obligation when having a pet?


And you must be clear that:

  • An animal is a living, sensitive and vulnerable being.
  • It needs to eat every day: follow the recommendations of the veterinarian.
  • It must exercise regularly: consult with your veterinarian about the appropriate routines for its species or breed.
  • As an owner or possessor, you must keep it in good hygienic and sanitary conditions.
  • You must ensure that it is in good health and that it does not have parasites: visit the veterinarian regularly.
  • You need to educate it so that it can live in harmony with you, with other people, with other animals of the same species or with animals of other species.
  • Their education influences good behaviour in the use of common public spaces (public roads, green spaces, etc.).
  • No one can mistreat an animal
